Article in RPA’s Spotlight
An article I wrote for the Regional Plan Association is published this week in their online publication Spotlight On The Region.
The title is Boarding Buses in Bangladesh, a description of the transportation system in Dhaka, the unique aspects of the buses, and the infrastructure challenges Dhaka faces to update its system to meet its swelling population. In addition, I describe the current state of the Dhaka Strategic Transportation Plan and what the outlook is on it with the coming December elections. In the article I compare Dhaka to New York City, showing New Yorkers they don’t have it all that bad.
