Graduate School Update

In the past two and a half weeks I have been accepted into two graduate programs. I got a phone call on Saturday January 24 from Dr. Laurie Garrow at Georgia Tech letting me know of my status, and received an email last Thursday February 5 from Purdue University telling me of my acceptance.

Georgia Tech is paying for me to travel down to Atlanta for a March 6 Visitation Program where I will get to meet with current graduate students and faculty. I booked my flight last night and will be staying down there from March 5 to 7. Purdue also offered today to pay for me to come visit them at some point, but not for any specfic program. I have not yet decided if I will make that trip. They did, however, offer me an F.N. Andrews Fellowship which would fund four years of graduate study.

NC State has yet to officially accept me, but my former professors indicated that I am very welcome back there. No word yet from MIT, Berkeley, or Texas. This weekend I am paying a visit to MIT, just to walk the campus and see the buildings I would be working in if I was accepted.
